Historic Batesville

Batesville is the largest town within a broad radius in the central Ozarks. It offers visitors many restaurants, shopping centers, banks, regional hospital and outpatient clinics, and of course, a Walmart Supercenter. Batesville is also home to two top-notch higher education centers, Lyon College and University of Arkansas Community College at Batesville (UACCB). Both sponsor concerts, plays and other cultural events throughout the year. Lyon College’s Scottish Festival in the spring is a statewide favorite as well as the White River Water Carnival in the fall. And don’t miss Downtown Batesville, where Main Street showcases restored historic homes and the Old Independence County Regional Museum.
